This is a Conklin Deco Crest Mark Twain limited edition fountain pen with a solid 925% sterling silver overlay. The pen fills from a bottle via a crescent depressed squeeze filler pioneered by Conklin during the golden age of fountain pens. The nib is large two tone 18kt nib (F) and has the same markings as the original Conklin nibs. Mark Twain said of the crescent filling system " I prefer it because it is a profanity saver; it cannot roll off the desk". The cap screws securely closed . The pen has never been used and comes with all its original packaging and Conklin elegant outer presentation box. The pen was purchased from Fahrney's on May 13,2013 and has been in controlled climate storage ever since and is no. 32/98.
